Entrance Exams

The entrance exam (app) is usually held in batches but may also be held individually in special cases (special circumstances/requests).

Enrollment Ceremony

There will be a ceremony for each individual passing the exam in order to accept them officially as a student. First The students will be assigned to their respective masters. Both parties need to formally accept this arrangement. If at this point no master would accept a new student, they would be allocated to general studies only. If after one year they could still not gain the favor of any master, they would be expelled. Second the students accept to adhere to the laws of Astera and pledge loyalty. Third Each student would receive following personal items: - A white robe with blue clouds on it and the Astera Emblem and other decorations embroidered on it in a golden color. This robe is no obligatory uniform to be worn, unless participating in formal activities. It is not only a fancy coat, but even has some uses as it is woven with magical silk and engraved with ancient runes (not visible after the casting is complete, or when not reignited by using it). It gives additional resistance to Spiritual attack and my be used as a catalyst. It also has the property to not stain, tear, drench or catch on fire. In addition it regulates temperature. In hot regions it would cool the body, in cold regions it would warm the body. - A matching blue-white headband, 2m in length and 2cm in width. The original intend is for it to be worn as a headband, but can be worn however one likes. For example as a hair tie, bracelet, belt or however one pleases. This is the only thing that has always to be worn. Mortals generally would not know what means and does not attract attention like an uniform. But those who know about it, would be able to recognize it. The headband has the same qualities ad the coat. - An ID-Jade Coin. One has to always carry it with it. When receiving it comes plain, but it can be arranged as a pendant, ring or anything once pleases in order not to lose it as easily as a lose coin. It's used as an ID-Card, Stores DP (Duel Points) and serves as a key to their respective residences as well as all restricted areas which according to their rank. - 500Ⴞ (Lyr) - A Jade Drive that records all Laws as well as Entry guides (basically Rules and all Journals) plus the full manual of all basic techniques used within the school. With it, it was possible to master all basics if one was diligent enough, without even meeting a senior or master once. - A name plate to hang on their respective residences. - All of it is stored within a small bag of holding. Fourth Upon receiving their Items, they will additionaly receive the courtesy name, given by their respective Masters.
